How to Increase Home Business Productivity Not Dam It

How to increase home business productivity not dam it…

I guess I’m human and dedicated enough when I see the words FREE HOME BUSINESS TRAINING I will open up the email…never knowing where some valuable suggestive nugget might be found about making more money or talking to more people. Especially, if possible, to also save yourself money and time..all under the veneer of free. (It’s true parents raised in the First Depression brought their families up to believe a penny saved is a penny earned.)

But folks, nothing is free.

As it turns out, the course materials were free to access but the TIME required to master the content was not mentioned.

And I have climbed that EveryTraining Mountain…hour by hour, notebook by notebook, teleseminar by teleseminar. And when I felt I had reached the top of self-belief and support of others, and looked around, no one had followed me!The sad truth is very, very few people will scale that mountain even if it is absolutely free to start and continue to work their buns off hoping that many more will also want to do the same…

But judge for yourself. Here is the free content as outlined:
  • Get free access to private internet marketing coaching calls dynamic, fun, and informative LIVE network marketing training sessions and TELECLASSES
  • Get an upgraded affiliate status – so you can refer people and get higher commissions paid back to you
  • Get a free residual income website to generate products, leads, business tools and affiliate commissons
  • Get a free replicated Blog with over free100 templates available you can personalize
  • Get a free attraction-marketing and list-building system designed to help provide value and build "know-how" in the minds of your prospects.
  • Get free access to a cutting-edge collection of network marketing articles and e-books, Cd's and Dvd's... jam-packed with business building strategies and techniques that the pros use every day.
  • Get more internet marketing courses, tools, and resources to make income online always have discounted prices on the hottest industry-related products and services, so you can stay up to date with the digital age.
  • Get top quality sales Leads - If you like buying leads, never worry again if you're getting the best and most effective. You can even listen-in from time to time, as we call them "Live and In Your Face!"
  • Get Educated by hardcore internet marketers and have been building teams online for years…Never get left behind!

Wow! I get tired just reading about all this gear, trails and mountaineers searching for that gold mine of financial freedom! The real "golden opportunity" is being able to help friends and neighbours achieve abundant success also without all the trials and tribulations.

The real truth is the network marketing home business is about duplicating a simple business system by average people, always has been, and always will be a democratic way to build residual income.

The only real way to increase productivity in this unique home business model is to offer a 3-steps marketing plan that can be delivered in one hour with inbuilt comprehensive training and no loss of critical information. Everybody can do it.

The way to dam productivity is to build a mountain of information in front of it. Only a handful of elite climbers will strive to ascent.

It starts with education of facts and principles about how network marketing works. It includes a strong personal component for self-empowerment and change. It concludes with an extraordinary home business opportunity.

Your questions and comments are always welcome.

Why does public media mute part-time network marketing home business

It hurts too much to "larf" at these home business ideas. No wonder home business opportunity seekers are confused and real options so limited.

The big question is why does public media mute the network marketing home business for earning part-time income?

First, let’s look at what one TV broadcast had to say recently about how to earn some extra income.
Second, we’ll take a look at the network marketing industry to help polish this old institution and public image.
Some would say it’s tarnished and I would agree because of the high failure rate. But I also totally believe it can and must be fixed in order to return to its grassroots capitalism foundation and provide real income for real people.

So what does "larf" mean? You’re not sure whether to laugh or to cry or both...could be from frustration, desperation or just hard to grasp the improbability of it all.
I listen to CNN quite a bit…even as a Canadian. Two of my favorite TV hosts are Larry King and Anderson Cooper. Recently, working from home, eating my lunch, watching the latest news, one commentary caught my attention. The woman anchor was talking with an expert about work from home jobs as part-time side jobs people could do while under-employed or waiting for employment.
Now, I’m not using my imagination this time but there were some pretty creative ideas tossed out to comfort those looking for extra money from home. How about:
  • dog walking…rich people still spend money on pets..$17 an hour
  • neighborhood handy-man…can you replace some soles on shoes, straps on purses, a pressure ring on dishwasher, a plug on a car for a non-mechanic…I guess fees are variable here or maybe try bartering..although a fresh loaf of bread won’t pay a credit card company
  • teach a personal hobby to others…macrame / photo montage/ raw food cuisine, anyone
  • start a day care facility to look after young children…a host of guidelines in Canada
  • start a house cleaning or house-sitting service for busy, rich people again

So none of these caught my idea of acceptable return on time or investment or longevity so I checked the website recommended at CareerBuilding.com…just the first page was enough.

It made me stop and wonder about how many people actually look at these kinds of sites for job opportunities. Here’s a few things I read: 80% or more of work at home jobs were scams or rip-offs…need to check out thoroughly.

Some of the top 10 work at home jobs included:

  • internet programs for wealth creation
  • get paid surveys online from $40 to $250 an hour
  • make money selling adult toys
  • major dating company seeks online hosts fo $200 a week
  • get paid to assemble products and crafts
  • complete simple data entry and online forms

Now two things struck me:

All these “opportunities” were getting paid by the hour or by the number of forms or surveys completed. Work so much.. get paid so much. No work...no money. There were only wages...no profits and not residual cent anywhere.

Does anyone know or care about the difference between linear and residual income?

Most of these “opportunities” would also involve active marketing once products and services were ready to go, such as setting up a replicated website, posting sales copy, testing it, sending out press releases, attracting traffic and potential customers. Who will help you with this?

Then another ha-ha thought struck me!
A network marketing home business is actually very different from a work at home job.
In a real business you have to start at the beginning, invest a small amount of capital, and work for huge returns that come back into your pocket. Public media somehow bypasses the network marketing industry as a viable home business to make some serious money with an outlay of as small as $40 a month that qualify you for long-term profits.

There needs to be a serious counterbalance to public information here and I believe it needs to start within the industry itself.

  • Let’s first polish up our public persona, develop more highly successful people to ask as role models.
  • Let’s eliminate the complexity of getting involved.
  • Let’s standardize the training so everyone can do it at low-cost.
  • Let’s practice the basic key concepts of leverage and duplication with a simple process..I call it the straight-line home business.
  • Let’s return the people to the grassroots of an equal democratic opportunity.

Let’s not worry about walking dogs or cleaning washrooms.
Your questions, comments and opinions are always appreciated,
Annemarie
PS. How would you describe your ideal home business or work from home job.

Do you sell or educate for better profits in this special network marketing home business?

Do you sell or educate for better profits in this special network marketing home business?

I always enjoy speaking with home-based business opportunity seekers. They have so many good questions that require proper, hype-free answers. I can relate to my first efforts in starting a home business by following a program without a proper overview of how this special home business worked. I followed with “blind faith” that the master marketer would inspire more and more “followers.”

Unfortunately, this home business model based on network marketing concepts doesn’t work that way. Its residual matrix model is based on duplication of a simple business plan. It is not about leaders creating more leaders. It is about regular people with hopes for a better lifestyle communicating with other regular people.

So my main answers are to make sure new people understand the foundational principles of network marketing. This will ensure that common mistakes can be avoided, and unnecessary costs eliminated and time saved. After all, customers buying important products for personal use are the basis of long –term commissions.

One of the most common questions is related to selling. Do I have to sell anything? I have no experience. I don’t like sales. After all, customers buying important products for personal use are the basis of long-term commissions.

These concerns and fears are absolutely relevant. How about you? Do you feel that you are unable to sell, or may even see selling as negative. Perhaps you may have had a past experience where you have been pushed into buying something you didn't want, or felt hassled by a salesperson.

The process of selling is an exchange of information between two people talking…one is looking for a solution to a problem..the other is providing some answers.
Both ways, they are selling each other whether about the problem or the solution. At the end, one person will “sell” the other.."my problems are too great" or "your solution seems the right first step to take." Our consumer society shows we are always willing to exchange money to buy if we find what we want.

The fact is that there are both very good and very bad sales people! Bad sales people are only interested in what they will personally get out of the sale and will use every tactic to close the deal for their own gain.
A good sales person will not sell something to anyone unless they truly believe that they will benefit from it. They will ensure all important questions are answered and if someone is still not interested, then they will stop pushing. The good sales person will also go to any length to ensure that all customers are completely satisfied with their purchase.

But here is the $64,000 question:
Do networkers SELL a product or EDUCATE a better financial future?

Is network marketing all about really selling a product that can be bought in a local retail outlet, or does it offer the unique advantage of presenting an improved lifestyle opportunity? What other options are there?
You don’t need to “sell” a better, more financially free future...most people would be interested in "buying" and upgrading their status quo. However, first, you must educate about the key concepts to get you there.

So, on one hand, you have particular products..as the means by which to make residual income…Note that most network marketing companies produce cutting-edge research and development products. Do your due diligence here to understand the value and benefits.

On the other hand, you have an opportunity, a decision to make to start a home business of this type that can change your life and your finances forever. You have a situation where you can identify ways in which your business can help other people to achieve life long ambitions.

It’s simple to say “no’ to a product..a bottle..a box in a competitive marketplace, but you have to think more responsibly about saying “no” to a home business opportunity that can build independence for you and your family.

Ultimately, the best way to make any decision is to educate first. Get your facts. Get your overview.
Start to change your belief system...
Understand the four key words to home business success is "I can do this."
Get educated and enlightened about how the greatest, simplest, low-cost, high-potential earnings home business functions...
Now go out and check the products and see if you are willing to “buy”.

In conclusion, this home business model is unique that allows every person the right to have a profitable home business. Get smart and help others get smart. Get wealthy and others will knock on your door.

Does this mean I have to be a teacher now rather than a salesperson?

Goodness, no! Use professional teaching tools to tell the story for you.

What number will you dial for how to start a home business

What number will you dial for how to start a home business?

Many people are looking at a home business for a variety of reasons including the general overview that the economy is still on a uncertain ride accompanied by unemployment and credit card debts.
Plus, even if you have a current job, there is still the desire to have some extra income, some extra savings for a better personal financial well-being.
Plus what about THE DREAM deep inside you that hasn’t been given “the chance”..the one thing you would like to do if money and time were no objection.

Many home-based opportunities abound. Everyone is trying to sell you on what they think you need. But who do you call? Who will help? How can I minimize time and cost? How much do I invest and how much can I expect to make?

Here are two plans to check out and two numbers to choose to call:

PLAN A ...Call this number 123-456-7890

1. Plug into a large successful company and help promote products

2. Plug into marketing system and work with team leaders

3. Set up your back office control center

4. Learn how to manage a total contact lead capture and management system

5. Set up company’s replicated website with conference calls/webinars/archives

6. Set up marketing system site with information re different plans/consultants

7. Set up blogging sites / write articles to introduce yourself with leadership qualities

8. Set up profiles on social marketing pages to help promote opportunity and marketing

9. Integrate customer/personal auto-responder messages and follow-up

10. Now take steps 1 – 9 and train a new home business partner to follow the same system.

Can I add, good luck...been there..done that..cannot recommend

PLAN B ...Call this number 1 – 2 – 3

1. EDUCATE customers/clients about home business FACTS in the network marketing industry…simple curriculum guide..30 minute slide presentation and e-book

2. EMPOWER people to change their BELIEFS (habits and mindsets) to believe they can win the “big picture”…built-in component in curriculum guide

3. CHANGE by plugging into an excellent company and extraordinary product.

The above three steps are then shared with other people who also want to be educated, empowered and ready to change to a better lifestyle and financial security.

To truly understand the abundant potential of this home business opportunity, you must see how the residual payment matrix is not about the "product" but about sharing a simple marketing plan that everybody can do.

As well, now this process has been made even simpler, if that is possible, by sharing three short videos about defining the concept of network marketing, comparing two marketing plans and then setting up a straight-line home business with no excuses allowed.

In closing, I’ve worked my fingers to the bone using the number 123-456-7890 with satisfactory results but limited duplication or business partners. Any reasons why, do you think? I am excited to share a simple plan and number. Won’t you try it also?

Standing by to help,
Annemarie

Find your Golden Hollywood Ticket with a Home Business..There's Always a Way

You'll find your "Golden Hollywood Ticket" at the end...your song: There's Always a Way

One of the most popular ongoing shows is American Idol.

The fascination is at many levels...but for me I am most impressed by the exuberance and the talent of these beautiful young people. Probably, most of us see ourselves standing “outside the ring of fire” but we still experience the dizzying range of emotion from the first overwhelming rush of adrenaline when being picked with the golden Hollywood ticket, to dedication to try their best before judges on the world stage (that would defeat most of us), to hopes, dreams; and for most, the heartbreaking words “you’re not good enough.” Only one will reach the peak after so many with so much huge talent have climbed the mountain of "sweat and tears" and belief they could “win”.

So it makes me stop and think about my home business based on the network marketing model.. It is founded on the principle that everyone can apply..no special talents needed…just a desire to be more successful, more recognized, more financially secure, more lifestyle with freer choices. If we’re not talented and beautiful, we can still perform important services. We can still achieve that sense of joy and accomplishment with a profitable home business helping others. Our God-given talents are the ability to communicate, to care and share. Shouldn’t there be some commensurate rewards for being good, responsible and seeking some credibility and independence?

There is no other Broadway “casting-call” that comes close to the potential of exciting success as a network marketing home business. BUT the process must be DONE RIGHT through education, self-empowerment and then change. The opposite doesn’t work…first embrace change, then feel good about it, and now go and tell others. One of the most important elements in a mind-changing education is self-empowerment or self-belief I can do this, I deserve this, I can win.

And in this regard, the sweetest song I can sing, mainly to myself, or any one else who cares to listen, is this wonderful affirmation shared by a fellow networker called

There's Always a Way

Say it loud everyday…there’s always a way...see and feel yourself believing in purpose and achievement…there’s always a way. No judge will discredit you. An audience of people will sing along. And your reward is to build a great home business to share with everyone. This is my “golden ticket to Hollywood” and far more... in the sense that this will be my beautiful talent…and all I need to know.

Your comments about positive things or "golden tickets" in your life are always appreciated.
Thanks,
Annemarie

There's Always a Way

How many times have you said to yourself...."How am I going to do this?"This is a perennial question to all of us. Too often we get stuck in thinking and by buying into our insecurities and let opportunity pass us by because of some fear about not knowing enough, not being enough, not knowing where to begin, not being quite ready, and the excuses keep buzzing..

The only way to reach the goal you set for yourself is to begin it NOW by taking a first step towards it no matter whether you know the final answers or not. Action will create momentum and momentum will create an ability to forge through any adversity you perceive is in your way.

Just remember one thing... There's Always a Way for you to have all you desire. The answers are right within you so stop telling yourself you can't and start telling I CAN!
Everywhere you are there is a power and presence that is aligned with the magnificence of who you are. This power is infinite in its wisdom, imagination, creativity, and desire to bring out in you the best that you can be. No matter what may appear on the surface, you have all the tools to have and build the LIFE you dream about. Remember one thing, you wouldn't be able to dream something if you didn't already have that dream inside of you.

It is so easy to give up and throw in the towel when you come up against a challenge you think is insurmountable. That's the very time you must ramp up your desire for success and find the ways you need to turn those challenges into opportunities. You can do it. No matter what you may think about hard situations you always have the choice to think of the solutions to get you through them.

There's Always a Way to make your day the very best it can be when you start to say yes to all the excellence you are by your own CHOICE of WORDS...

"The flow of life doesn't make decisions to create hardships for anyone....those hardships are created by the limited thinking that we decide is our truth..."

Our real truth is that we are abundant, prosperous and gifted with all the tools to accomplish anything we decide to do... listen to yourself so the story you hear is one of complete desire to fulfill all the success you can dream about.

Repeat these words as a daily ritual, a few times, if you wish..

I AM infinite abundance
I AM infinite prosperity
I AM magnificence and excellence
I AM the flow of creativity
I AM a discoverer of my greatness
I AM committed to my success
I AM Free Right NOW To Be ME
It's MY day... I WILL MAKE IT A GREAT ONE!

Even if I knew that tomorrow would go to pieces…I would still plant my apple tree…Martin Luther King

How Will The Recession Affect Your Home-Based Business Opportunity?

Throughout history, Network Marketing, as a home-based business, has always had exceptional growth during difficult economic times (contrary to the naysayers...see next blog). Certainly, during tough times, people will not want to spend as they did during economic good times.

That is true, but we are not talking about spending such as making retail purchases. Network Marketing is known as the alternative to retail distribution. As a member you can buy directly from the manufacturer. Not only do you redirect your spending for monthly consumables, but also you can make additional income dependent on your marketing efforts.

Here’s an interesting historical perspective:
The first MLM opportunities date back to the great depression of the 1930's.

  • Wachter's, a marine-vegetable (seaweed) supplement company, started in 1937 near the bottom of the Great Depression.
  • Nutrilite took off in 1945 during the economic decline immediately following World War II.
  • Shaklee and Neolife fared well in the post-Korean War slump.
  • Amway got a good start building with the slump in 1958.
  • Mary Kay started with the downturn in the 1960s.
  • Others like Herbalife in the 1990's, went into hyper growth during that recession and became a billion dollar company.

What does this tell you?
When recessions hit, people begin to look for alternative sources of income.

Consumer spending decreases; spending habits get re-prioritized. The future is fragmented and factored into issues of job security, dwindling 401k investments, stock market losses and home devaluation.

How secure do you feel your job is today? Do these terms creep into your mind…long-term…downsizing…getting fired…replacing your job? When recession hits, replacing a job is not an easy thing, but what are the options for finding alternative sources of income?

In my opinion and experience, the best of all alternatives is Network Marketing combined with Internet Marketing. No other home business comes close BUT it must be based on its core principles…a democratic opportunity for everyone, regardless of age, race, education, talent…just an innate desire to have a better life and independence.

MLM businesses can still be built offline…great social activities. However, today we have the advantage of the Information Highway running through our dining rooms and backyards. Today, we don’t have to relegate our financial problems to flipping burgers for more income. Today, the Internet Marketer can plug into a successful Network Marketing company for an exciting opportunity to make some serious income.

  • offers a business solution with minimal capital investment and start up
  • provides a sound business model with training, support and growth potential
  • allows you to stay at home with you families while improving your economic and financial situation
  • tailored for ordinary people who want to improve their financial situation and get an excellent business education without the need to rely on third parties for expensive training or consultation.

How about you?

Are you willing to invest in yourself in order to improve your families and your own financial future and destiny? What other options are there for this global recession?

If you have questions or comments, let’s talk soon. I’ll share a low-cost, complete marketing system and home business recently voted the “best home-based business concept for the 21st century" by Lifetime Network.

As you well know, inspiration is a great thing, but education is golden forever.

Once you understand how it works, why would anyone say NO to this home business model?

Currently, I'm speaking with many people looking for a legitimate way to make extra income from home doing something they can be proud of. In fact, one lady said at the end of a short slide presentation..."Now that I understand this home business model better, why would anyone say "no" to making money over and over again by using valuable products."

Coincidentally, I had read a similar article by Tim Sales two weeks ago. He had a similar response following his presentation from a lady who also asked, "Why would anyone say "no"?

Tim is one of the most professional networkers I know and his answer is thoroughly spotless.

Read it in its entirety and I'd like to hear your opinion about "opinions" you have heard.

Sincerely,

AnneMarie

...from Tim Sales

The answer I gave her is one you need to read... and KNOW so that you can explain it to your prospect. First let me say that some of our bad public relations, we've earned. We did it and we're paying for it. If you didn't do it, then you inherited the problem, therefore you have to fix it. But most of the bad public relations we've received was from either people who didn't (and still don't) know anything about the industry or people who have failed at M.L.M and now talk badly about it.

Basically, there are three types of authors of content:

1. They've never done what they're writing about

2. They've done it and failed and

3. They've done it and succeeded.

Note: My use of the word "author" includes both written and spoken communication. Which is to say that ANYONE who says or writes anything!

The first type of author who has created bad public relations for the industry is the author who has never done M.L.M. Newspaper, magazine and television writers and reporters rarely have done M.L.M - their information comes from hearsay and as an "outsider looking in." Attorneys and even many professors often give advice on activities they've never done. The majority of the books at the book store are from authors who have never done what they're authoring about. They can write (or speak), but can not succeed at doing it. Their advice is rarely good because it's based on invention, another's opinion or hearsay. This problem gets compounded when one hears something...and repeats what they heard from the media.

Now there are two layers of people who have never done it; but think they know about it. People who have never done or succeeded at it can not possibly place the correct importance on the subject! You can always identify authors who have never done it because their content is slightly (or grossly) off the main subject.

As an example, I read a web site that wrote several pages about how M.L.M could not mathematically work. What?! That's like debating the "fact" that "scientifically" a bumblebee can't fly. Has it ever occurred to that author To LOOK? The oldest M.L.M company is still growing after 50 years!

A large amount of the negative public relations in M.L.M has come because too many people who have no real data on M.L.M make statements that other people believe because the author "appears" real; which they shouldn't.

The second group of authors who have created negative public relations for M.L.M is people who have failed at M.L.M. When someone has failed at what they write or talk about, it is common for them to be critical (inclined to find fault with) of the activity and those who do the activity. Why? Because something about the subject is a complete mystery to them and they feel a little [or a lot] inadequate. They obviously couldn't figure out some part of it - otherwise they wouldn't have failed!

As an example, let's take a person who tried M.L.M but didn't succeed at it. Because he has a little knowledge about the subject he can say, "I've done M.L.M and it doesn't work!" He'll typically state "what's hard," "wrong," or "dangerous" about M.L.M. Why? Because he never figured it out and someone who succeeds at it proves his inadequacy on the subject of M.L.M.

His worst nightmare is people succeeding at M.L.M. If he knew exactly why he failed at it, he may zero in on that part and write (or state) negatively about it - perhaps how the upline makes all the money (which is the same in every industry). But normally he doesn't know why he failed so he tries to makes EVERYTHING about M.L.M wrong - including anyone who does M.L.M.

Warning: There are always more people who fail than succeed at every activity - so the general comments (written and spoken) on any activity will be negative. Now you know why someone would write, "So few people succeed at ______," and then they go on and advise you "not to do it."

Do not take advice from people who've failed at what they author about - they have an axe to grind and they don't want you to succeed at what they failed at as if you succeed it proves their inadequacy on the subject. The more people who succeed at it, the more fire-spitting mad they get about it. By the way, often how they personally tell you this is, "I'm just trying to protect you."

The third author type is those who have succeeded at what they write about. If an author has done and succeeded at the activity they author about, they are a valuable asset to you and their advice is worthwhile. They know what is important and what's not important about the subject.

Please notice there is a vast difference between someone who has been "educated" on a subject versus someone who can DO the subject successfully. Just because a person has studied a subject, doesn't mean they can do it. A beautician can study all about hair - that doesn't mean she can cut hair. A psychiatrist may have been able to listen to her teachers and may have been able to read the required text books and may have even been able to pass a state board examination on the subject - but can she fix another person's problems? If she can't, don't take her advice! A student who has been educated on a subject has only proven that she can be a student successfully. She has not proven she can DO THE SUBJECT. So don't be snowed by someone who says, "I've been a student of the industry for 23 years." They have not proven they can DO M.L.M.

Author type number three is the person you should accept advice from on any subject you're researching. If you want to fail, take advice from one who has failed.

In a nutshell, those people who have never done M.L.M and those who have failed at M.L.M are the ones who have created the bad public relations and have confused people about the industry.

If a person listens to author type number one or two and hears something "bad," they should ask author type number three about it. Author type three (the person who has succeeded at it) can put everything into the right perspective.

As an example, after one of my Brilliant Compensation events in Melbourne Australia, a guest asked me, "What percentage of people succeed?" Obviously he got the question from author type one or two. My response to him was that even though I've made millions of dollars, I personally had NEVER asked that question (even to myself) because no industry exists where the majority of people who do it make big money. I wasn't avoiding the question. I was simply letting him know that the question is truly irrelevant! The right question to ask is, "How do those who make big money do it?"

I hope this helps you to understand where the bad public relations comes from and how you can correct it.

Huge respect to you, Tim Sales

P.S. Improving the public relations image of M.L.M also requires that we all do the activity in a professional way. To be professional requires the proper training. You can get the best professional training in this industry by listening to my 7 CD set, "Professional Inviter". I worked for wages this week but home business income is better...WHY?

I worked for wages this weekend but home business profits are better…why

This weekend I made a few dollars as a food demonstrator for a marketing company introducing new products to a supermarket. It was interesting to meet all kinds of new people and talk about sprouted grain bread versus milled bread. Do you know the difference…most did not.

The difference between sprouting versus milling (or grinding to make flour) processes are huge to the nutritional benefits of breads that result. In the milling process there is substantial amount of heat generated which has adverse effects on the wheat grain. Almost all milling oxidizes the kernel, losing vital vitamins, enzymes and minerals. As well, most of the bran and germ (endosperm) is removed and resold. By taking out these ingredients, it allows most flours, including whole wheat, to have a shelf life for several months on the store shelf without going rancid.

For handing out taste samples and coupons I got paid $14 an hour. In one day of work I made $98 minus taxes. I will never get another cent from this day’s work. I will have to work again tomorrow to get another one-time wage, sufficient as it seems at first.

So how do wages compare to home business profits? Let’s take a look at a small number potential using knowledge as leverage to go beyond one hour of work and earn multiple times.

Let’s say I was working comfortably from my home, setting my own hours by network marketing a high-demand nutritional product. I shared the information via website with ten people. Two people saw the value of the product for their health and ordered it and I received a commission. These two new customers then each shared the important information with ten other people for a total of 20 new contacts, 4 of which also became customers.

I get 4 more commissions. Now these 4 new customers each share the healthy benefits with 10 people each for a total of 40 new contacts and a possible 8 people buying and using the product. Now I am eligible for 8 commissions…bringing the total to 14 commissions based on two personal customers.

As I continue to share my home business, I will continue to grow my profits over and over again based on short-term initial work and long-term residual income. Many networkers reach a 5 or 6 digit monthly income with residual profits with this business model.

High quality nutritional products are a huge market trend as more people look for natural solutions to maintain their health proactively (before getting sick). However, as important as health products are to this networking business model; it is even more important to use a simple business plan to duplicate your profits over and over again, both direct referrals and indirect.

I’d like to invite you to check out our 6 month income-generating, debt-reduction plan to get a clearer picture how residual income works.

Can you really find a Home Business in a Box..or Hope in a Capsule?

Can you really find a Home Business in a Box or Hope in a Capsule or…

I came across a bold title that caught my attention immediately:
Gastric Surgery in a Bottle!
OK…so now I have a serious case of “cognitive dissonance” where pictures of reality just don’t fit within given frames.
Gastric surgery is pictured as an extreme open surgery, very expensive, recommended by a medical professional, surrounded by specialists, painful recuperative time and life-long severe diet restrictions. Can you visualize all that activity enclosed in a glass bottle
realistically. Of course, we know it is meant with a lot of creative license!

This gastric program consisted of swallowing one or two capsules 30 minutes before a meal with a lot of pre-measured water. Each tiny microbead inside the capsule absorbed the water and expanded 500 times in less than 2 minutes. This “stuff” filled the stomach at least 80% full which, of course, left little room for actual food and you ate less.
How does the body get rid of this “stuff”…apparently by safely flushing it out through the system. And soon, the slim body you always wanted is transformed in front of the mirror with minimal effort. Is anybody concerned about nutritional deficiencies?

Hope in a capsule? It is an imaginary picture that maybe works in advertisements full of happy people. But abstractions like hope or success must be based on real actions with tangible causes and effects. To reach any destination is a journey of a thousand steps. By managing the quality of individual steps, we can ultimately measure the quality of our journey’s destination. We realize our hopes and deserve our successes.

So is there such a thing as a “home business in a box?”….I’ve come across that heading also. Once again, any business, including home business, is a serious venture with multiple factors and daily permutations. Here is just a handful of step-by-stepvariables you need to manage: market research, inventory, production, personnel, accounts receivable and payable, customers, freight, technology, time commitments and the list goes on. Most importantly, is sales and marketing expertise to get your business into the competitive marketplace in order to make income and, potentially, profits. Can you visualize all this activity contained in a box in its own microcosm?

The good news is that home business factors have changed dramatically in our modern Information Economy. Technological advances have simplified and multiplied the process of “intellectual distribution” worldwide. Home business entrepreneurs can plug into huge successful companies and help to market their products to earn residual commissions. They can leverage their time and knowledge with information tools 24/7 and break the income cap set physically by a 40 hour week. However, most importantly, the key remains the expert marketing plan in order to attract customers and partners.
In checking out the possibilities of a home business, make sure the marketing plan is simplified in order to multiply your profits. Our marketing plan has only 3 steps and it works beautifully.

Can I have a “home business in a box?” Yes, I CAN DO IT and YOU CAN, TOO.

What Works Better?...Push, Pull, or Educate and Empower about Home Business

Do You Push, Pull or just Educate and Empower about Home Business

Here is another part of an article that underlines why so many home businesses in ourf industry end up in the brambles in the ditch with the unhappy owner crying “No More, This *……* just doesn’t work!
It is written by an internet marketing guru and these “promotional pillars” are absolutely imperative for good marketing. The two main strategies are defined as:

A “push” promotional strategy makes use of a company's sales force and trade promotion activities to create consumer demand for a product.

A “pull” selling strategy is one that requires high spending on advertising and consumer promotion to build up consumer demand for a product.

A quick point by point summary of Low cost 'PUSH' Strategies include
…Affiliate Programs
…Follow Up Landing Pages By Phone
… Direct Mail with Phone and E-Mail Follow-Up
… Advertising…the frequency of your advertising determines how well the rest of the 'push' strategies work.

A quick point by point Low Cost 'PULL' Promotional Strategies include:
…Viral Promotional Products such as writing small re-printable reports for others to promote with your link or logo or sending out news releases
…Social Networking to plug your branding, links and logos
…Blogs to personalize your story and links
…Discussion Forums where you can respond to posts with helpful answers to discussion lists in your niche market
…Seminar Networking where you attend seminars and connect with others.

Now to make sure these are followed make sure you maintain a daily check list and do it.
Or find someone who can help you do the daily chores and outsource these tasks to others.

OK…I’ve been there, done that...and I ended up in the brambles in the ditch! WHAT A JOB! I want get away from working for a boss including myself! Not to mention the time commitment and no-return expenses.

What I want, and what is available now, is a simple 3 step marketing plan that covers all the essential information with a professional inbuilt training component to save me time and money. No PUSH…No PULL. I share a No Excuses Allowed Team philosophy and the rest is up to people to learn and decide. AND THIS HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE!

Your comments and questions are important. What kinds of marketing strategies have worked or not worked for you.

Four Words Every Home Business Owner Must Say...Part 4

Four Words Every Home Business Owner Must Say...PART 4

I CAN DO IT

So far, in Part 1, we saw how self-concept determines your destination and both are relative to a successful marketing plan. In Part 2, we saw how a simple “song” or marketing plan is easier to deliver and fun. In Part 3 we saw how a simple formula can transform basic ideas into wonderful creations over and over again, even if you’re not a “guru”.
Part 4 is the last analogy that compares a concrete object we know a lot about to a
more abstract realization of one’s dream lifestyle with a home business.

These hopes and dreams will become a concrete reality with these simple words:
I CAN DO IT

We all have a can’t-live-without-them affair with CARS, sooner or later, as singular or plural experiences.
Who doesn’t remember their first car...the thrill of independence...the call of adventure...the wind in their hair...
Cars in their own rights have sported exotic imagination names like Mustang, Infinity, Explorer, Viper, Celebrity, Dynasty, LeBaron, and Phantom.

Besides these imaginary traits, cars are indispensable to our way of life. Here are some interesting facts:
Average car is driven 15,000 miles annually
The cost of driving is far more expensive than gas when you take into account sales tax, registration fees, maintenance and repairs.
Depreciation is the largest cost factor (2007 Consumer Reports) and can account for up to 48% of total ownership costs.
Fuel is the second highest cost factor per year soaking up 21% ownership cost.

So how does driving a car relate to building a profitable home business?

In a nutshell, it is the marketing plan that “drives” sales and income for business owners.
You may have the best “mousetrap” in the world but if no one hears about it, no one will beat a path to your door.

It is especially true if you have a network marketing home business that plugs you into a large company where you help market their products to earn multiple commissions. Your income will reflect how well you can “drive” home the marketing plan.

Let’s do some creative thinking. What if marketing plans were cars?

Plan A is a simple basic car with standard features:
A phone number, a website and an overview with an inbuilt industry component

Plan B is a more complicated car with extra features and specialties best managed by trained operators...there are company conference calls, upline 3 way calls, training sessions, presentations, follow-ups, more products and features and testimonials.
It follows logically that the more technicalities presented, the more objections and the less number of operators are willing or able to take on the driving challenge.

On the other hand, with a simple basic car the personal comfort levels increase. Everybody can drive this car. Your manual is minimal…cuts back hugely on time and expenses. Your odds of finding other willing and able drivers dramatically increase.
This is true duplication of a business plan that can lead to fortunes being created in this industry especially with an inbuilt industry training component found in Plan A.
Duplicating the marketing plan is the essential factor directly related to your profits.

You can consider the “fuel” to drive your marketing plan as the Business Opportunity which is constantly perceived differently by people and therefore nearly impossible to control. But the marketing plan must be the same vehicle, same delivery, same results, same financial destination.

In designing the slide presentation in the Mini-Program for Maxi-Profits, I chose the symbol of a basic red car to represent the concept of a marketing plan.

It is meant to be the opposite of high-powered marketing plans used by "guru drivers." They have the public persona, the skills to handle high tech, high performance features like 432 horsepower, radio data responders, telescopic steering, high maintenance, and higher cost premium gas. Their audiences may admire their skills and unbounded ambition and success. Some may even try and emulate their skill and “drive complicated marketing plans,” and most times they drop out of the race. THEY CAN’T DO IT!

Of course, you will always find the super salespeople who will roar into high gear.
But how many others audience members will they attract to do the same? In my experience, one or two, because this network marketing business is not about sales but duplication of marketing plan. And the great news is VELOCITY IS DETERMINED by SIMPLICITY and YOU CAN DO IT!

If you learn nothing else from this short series of I CAN DO IT, make sure you understand this statement perfectly. It can mean the difference in your ability to live in poverty or in wealth.
After all, “ability is a poor man’s wealth”. And the special network marketing home business, more than any other business model, offers the one chance to duplicate average ability to the democratic masses.

YOU CAN BE THE VERY BEST RACE CAR DRIVER IN THE WORLD BUT IF YOU’RE NOT IN A BASIC VEHICLE THAT IS SIMPLE TO DRIVE BY MANY OTHER DRIVERS, YOU’LL NEVER WIN THIS SPECIAL NETWORK MARKETING RACE

You can view these slides and other important principles about this unique home business model in our Mini-Program for Maxi-Profits slide presentation…the training component to this industry that is simple to share.
Your comments and questions are always valued.

Why Some Choose to Live BELOW their means even as home business owners

Hi,
Today I thought I'd share an interesting excerpt from Bob Bly, business guru, who is currently writing a book called Science of Successful Living. These words ring particularly true in our troubled economic times.

"A favorite ploy of some who sell "get rich quick" in Internet marketing
or Brand New Home Business Opportunities...

... is to boast about the luxury cars and other expensive toys
they have bought - presumably with the money they made from the
skill they are offering to teach you.

One, whom I am personally quite fond of and greatly admire,
brags about his new $350,000 Rolls Royce.Another sends us a photo of her
with her new Jaguar. A third describes the multi-million-dollar home
he is having built.

Now, there's nothing wrong with wanting or having these
possessions.

But if - like me - you don't care about the trappings of
wealth........ then not being extravagant in your spending can actually give
you an advantage as an entrepreneur or successful home business owner.

The best business advice I ever got was from Florida freelance
writer DK, who told me:

"Live below your means."

It is advice I have always followed ... and I am glad I have done
so. You see, I'm a tightwad by nature. Not with others. But with
myself. Given the choice between dinner at a 4-star restaurant and plain
old food ... I'll take Denny's any time.

This year, for instance, I needed a new car. Now, I can't afford a Rolls Royce.
But I can afford a Jag, a Lexus, a Benz, or most of the other
luxury cars - and keep in mind, I always buy my cars for cash.
I never lease or loan.

In fact, I live a lifestyle that allows me to have no consumer
debt of any kind -- except mortgages on investment properties.

So what car did I settle on? A new 2008 Toyota Prius Hybrid.
It cost me - including taxes - only $23,500.

I love driving it. Handles well. Looks great. Very sporty. Fits
in small parking spaces. Most important, it gets 45 miles per gallon.

Why do I advise that you live below your means - as DK and I do?
It's simple.

By living below your means, you remove unnecessary financial
pressure from your life.

That way, you can make business decisions ... e.g., what clients
or projects to take on ... based on what you want to do - and not
financial need.

When you live below your means, you can do what you want to do ...
when you want to do it ... which to me is a recipe for a happy and
rewarding life.

When you live way above your means, you become a slave to your
possessions - working to pay for the toys you have -- and buy
the next ones.

That may be a good way for some people to live.
But not for me.
And maybe not for you.
Of course, it's your call."

Certainly, my home business with the advantages of network marketing, fit this philosophy perfectly...start low-cost with high value products and enjoy the profits reasonably.
Your comments and opinions are always appreciated.

Sincerely,

AnneMarie

Four Words Every Home Business Owner Must Say...Part 3

Four Words Every Home Business Owner Must Say...PART 3

I CAN DO IT

So far, in Part 1, we saw how self-concept determines your destination and both are relative to a successful marketing plan. In Part 2, we saw how a simple “song” or marketing plan is easier to participate with and fun.

Now, another analogy just hit me last night. It all began with a small cluster of unexpected events…my brother and family (5 members) dropped in from their Kelowna trip. And I offered to make supper, of course, and they gladly accepted, of course, and I didn’t have enough of anything prepared to do company’s justice. In my fridge, there was a small hamburger package (enough for two people) and mozzarella cheese. Sometimes in emergencies like this I draw out an old traditional family recipe. It’s simple 5-ingredient sour cream dough that is rolled out into thin 8 inch circles topped with a filling, braided shut, rolled thin and fried in olive oil. Serve with sour cream and salsa, green onions and carrot sticks. The surprise supper was great with what was described as a gourmet treat.

I love analogies because they can take a highly complex subject and compare it to something easier to understand. In this example I was successful in preparing a good supper for several people because I had a recipe to follow that never fails.

A recipe made me think of any list of specific instructions with an end result in mind.
You take raw elements like egg, flour, salt, and create a composite wholly unlike to the elements. In the similar way, you can take a marketing plan to grow your home business and realize a dream lifestyle way beyond the words on a page.

A map is a pictorial overview of an actual landscape using labeled keys or code. You can see where you are now and where you want to be. With a business plan, you must be able to see ALL the rules to win by, offensive driving and defensive driving.

A business plan is essential to starting a business, including home-based. You need check out market research, time commitments, consultants, cash-flow projections, investment ratios, rental fees, shipping, competitors, production, sales and marketing…just to name a few.

A network marketing home business plan has the basic advantage of plugging into an established, successful company in order to help market their products and earn commissions multiple times. Get paid for monthly consumption of products you would buy anyway. This sounds great in theory.

Here are your ingredients:
BOTTOM LAYER (foundation): company, top management, manufacturing, valuable products, cutting edge advertising, shipping, accounting, service department and more.
MIDDLE LAYER (filling): personal sponsor, team training, support, marketing plan
TOP LAYER: success and financial freedom

But in reality this fails for 95% of people who try it! The top layer, the sweet, care-free, delicious topping is enjoyed by only a handful of people EVEN when the basic recipe is the same. Why? This question has bothered me for years. The company’s foundation is a prepackaged delivery. There is no need for changes here. The real variation in this recipe is the middle layer, the filling…and you can’t apply the topping if you have no filling.

So what’s wrong with the filling? It’s a $64,000 question. Here is where you find all kinds of cooks, or team leaders, using their own special flavors or strategies (sometimes tied into buying their own particular brands). Here is where you find the top “guru” chefs with experience, multi-tasking skills, and credibility in performing complicated procedures.
I can’t pretend to cook like a Julia Child, Emile Lagasee or any of the Iron Chefs.
I can only marvel at their creations of Stuffed Snapper with Orange and Lime and Manhattan Cheesecake with Flaming Apricots.
Again, I have no desire to be the expert.
I may not even know how to fry an egg (I’m new to home business) but all of the sudden I need to be able to keep up with the expert marketers! Even worse, because of the nature of duplication in this business model, I also need to go out and teach this recipe to others and then they need to do the same! It doesn’t work. Average “cooks” can’t copy and promote complicated recipes. Nor should they need to spend countless hours training.

Show me a simple, straight forward marketing plan …a recipe with 3 or 4 ingredients for the filling:
1. Phone number for an overview. Are you interested? Yes or No
2. Company’s website for more information with a 1 page overview
3. 1 – 2 – 3 Step Marketing Plan to read-and-share that covers the basics: Trends, Marketing, Action…about 30 minutes to set
4. If people want a serving of Excuses…share more side dishes of educational resources

I CAN DO IT!

More importantly, I can pass on this recipe to as many people as I wish and they can duplicate the steps. Most importantly, I can celebrate the fact that I may not be a “guru chef” with years of mastery, but I can plug into the same networking company, expand my time and knowledge by passing on a simple “recipe” and start earning multiple commissions over and over based on initial effort.
Then I’ll be able to treat my friends to a real gourmet lunch courtesy of these masters.

I’d love to hear your ideas or questions. If you wish to try the Everday Pyrahi recipe from above…send me a note.

Sincerely,
AnneMarie

PS. As an interesting note...the comparison is often made that fast food franchises can be operated by a staff of teenagers because they follow a cookie cutter system. The food may not always be “the best” but you know Hamburger XYZ in California will be exactly the same Hamburger XYZ in Toronto, Canada

Four Words Every Home Business Owner Must Say..Part Two

Four Words Every Home Business Owner must say...Part Two

I CAN DO IT…
This is a more whimsical but still vivid look at how to plan to be successful with a home business.
In the last blog these words were tied to your self-concept or self-perception.
Your mind is the key to start the journey to the destination of your choice.
It’s not about speeches, products, hype, leaders, etc.
The point was also made that a simple marketing plan will be more successful than a complicated one. More success will naturally develop self-concept.

One top networker said the way to be successful is to “listen to the music one more time.”
His training involved six weeks of regular teleclasses. Learn the strategies, learn the script and practice, drill, rehearse. Tough for even the most motivated to maintain, much less pass the expectation to others.

So, the other afternoon I was returning from visiting my family. Feeling a little nostalgic in a beautiful hazy golden autumn afternoon driving through our mountains, I decided to listen to a CD by two “singing cowboys,” namely, Slim Whitman and Tex Ritter.
They sang old treasured songs…the words made simple statements, soulful and understandable. The single guitar notes rang clear as bells in uncomplicated melodies. I could recall vaguely hearing some of the songs as a child:

When I grow too old to dream
When my blue moon turns to gold again.
Beautiful Dreamer
Green Grow the Lilacs

The point here is I found myself automatically singing along, humming the tunes, quickly learning the choruses, repeating words and rhymes long forgotten. The words were simple, the tunes repetitive and it was easy to follow along. Being masterful was long gone.

Now I can’t sing. My high notes were raspy, I forgot words and my attempts at yodeling probably scared animals in the hills. Nor did I think for a moment that I had the talent or ever be in the same league of success as these singing cowboys. Nor did I desire to be a singing celebrity at any time. But I could duplicate the words, most of the melodies, I had fun, and I didn’t have to spend months or years training to be an expert that others could admire and follow.

So how does this scenario connect to a profitable home based business? In the network marketing industry, particularly, it is the duplication of the marketing plan that builds customers and cash-flow. It follows logically if the marketing plan is simple, easy to understand, easy to read that everyone can duplicate it. In other words, everyone can sing along at their levels of ability. You don’t have to be a good singer or a good salesperson as in this example. “You listen to the simple music one more time” and you share it and so on and so on.

I CAN DO IT

Keep the words and marketing plan simple for home business success. Enjoy the ride and the time freedom on your own terms, choosing to visit and travel through the peaceful autumn mountains listening nostalgically to sweet, simple words about life and what really matters.
Check out the 1 – 2 – 3 Step Marketing Plan and see how simple it is to “sing along.”
I am here to help with questions and comments.

Sincerely,
AnneMarie

Four Words Every Home Business Owner Must Say...Part One

FOUR WORDS every Home Business Owner must say…PART ONE

I CAN DO IT (ICDI)

I just had to share these words by Stephen Pierce.
(Stephen Pierce International Inc.)
They help to explain the purpose of keeping it simple ranging from
walking to planning a successful home business.

"True leadership is the ability to take something
complex and simplify it.

If I told you to run east to see the sunset would
you be successful? Sure you would, if you were facing east.

Would you need to go to a seminar and hear the right speaker
before you could run east successfully?

Would you need specially designed sneakers?

Would Gatorade need to make a special drink for people
running east before you could be successful?

Of course not. You just need to be in the right
place...facing east. Then you'll see the sunset.

It's the same way with making more money online.

You don't need to buy the priciest product or hear the best speakers
before you can take your next step.

Look, I could give you all the resources in the world and all the latest strategies.
But there's one thing that will never change: the human factor.

It's impossible to change your business and start moving forward without
first focusing on you and your mindset and perspective. The possibilities
you see for yourself will depend on what you’re thinking..

When your car's gas tank is low, you go fill it up with gas, right?
You need to do the same for you, too. Here is the G.A.S you need:

G - Gratitude is an attitude. Begin each day by
thinking about something you are grateful for,
even if your finances are lousy or your family
life is under severe strain. There's something
you can be grateful for.

A - Affirm who you are. Don't dwell on what you
think you "can't" do or how you've failed in the
past. Focus on what you "can" do. Use
constructive language, instead of destructive.

S - Strategies, systems and support. All three of
those go together. " (end of Stephen's quote)
Especially if you’re contemplating a home based business
in our network marketing industry.

Use professional information tools to tell the story for you.
Use the simple slide presentation to be the expert on how
to leverage Time and Knowledge and earn multiple commissions.
Read the keep-it-simple 1 – 2 – 3 Step Marketing Plan to show the big picture
and excellent value in products, management, trends and timing.
Call me to help with questions or comments.

Remember, keep it simple, face the right direction, use your own G.A.S,
and reach the sunset of your dreams.
I CAN DO IT!

Standing by to help,
AnneMarie

P. S. Warriors through the ages understood the
importance of the right terrain in winning
battles. It gives you a huge strategic advantage.

If you pick the wrong place as a marketer you'll

you pick the right place.

Another "amazing" home business opportunity with 2% success ratio

Another “amazing” home business opportunity with 2% success ratio...why do I say that

Another "breakthrough" home business opportunity crossed my desk the other day. There are so many of these amazing “creatures” out there hoping to find a kind ear, a dazzled eye, a vision of life-long prosperity, an excited start-up with another keen home business owner.
I checked it out. It was a network marketing opportunity. The products were about wellness with good descriptions like unique, consumable, proprietary, patented, double-blind clinical studies. What was missing, in my opinion, were words like natural, whole foods, synergy. Nature cannot be patented. I was losing interest fast.

Then I read that a successful business represents 2% of this industry based on mentoring by professionals! Why would anyone consider doing this home business with such an“amazing” low odds of success?!? Unless, of course, you were already a professional network marketer. I consider myself in that league so continued reading the marketing plan. Marketing, after all, is the key to success in this business by sharing a duplication model through multiple levels.
The point here is not to try to explain the whole marketing process but some key words are: recorded calls 24/7, live corporate fly-ins, live opportunity calls, live weekly webinars, area and regional sessions and a turn-key online marketing system which consists of replicated website, company videos, multiple lead capture pages, flash overview tours, email messages, and seamless sign-ups. All of this is monitored by a full contact manager, lead management, website path tracking, integrated real-time leads, advertising co-op rotation, meta-tag control, and a full auto-responder system.
What do you think would be a main problem in the sharing this duplication model through multiple levels?
I’ve actually worked with a similar system. It produced results for professional networkers who worked with other networkers but very few results for average home business owners.
This is the main reason why we need to restructure the network marketing plan so that everyone truly has an equal level playing field from which to gain profits and prosperity.
I’d love to hear about your home business experiences…networking or not.

A Profitable Home Business on a Table Napkin? Show Me How

A Profitable Home Business on a Table Napkin? Show me how.

I listened recently to a short video presentation about a young entrepreneur who has an absolutely unusual way of deciding which potential million dollar business to build based on a peculiar business model. Can his business plan be explained to future partners on a dinner napkin? And can his partners explain the same business plan on a dinner napkin to other prospects?

The key here is marketing with obvious simple duplication.

He continued to draw a regular sized napkin and divide it into quadrants. Each quarter represented a special function.
First, start with a capture email page with a low ticket offer.
Next, proceed to a small ticket upsell where as many as 30% of customers begin to feel comfortable with the buying process. Then, everyone is dropped into an email follow-up system called a Continuity Program. Finally, the big ticket item is produced and supported with call centers, webinars, and email contacts and updates. At any time, potential customers can remove themselves from the marketing funnel.

This program started a personal evaluation. Can my small home business be explained on a single dinner napkin? I believe so, but even in a more simplified way.

First: Invite potential prospects to listen to an overview call about the home business opportunity.
Second: If interested in more information, follow-up with the company’s website and a one page Getting Started Right Business Plan
Third: Help with questions. Continue the education with a generic overview of the business model with a slideshow and e-book…an invaluable information tool that does the work for you called the Mini-Program for Maxi-Profits.
Fourth: Read and share the 1- 2 – 3 Step Marketing Plan that covers all the main facts, neutralizes common excuses, and brings in a new business partner.

Simple is a beautiful thing. A simple dinner napkin “business” can be duplicated. In our industry duplication of a simple marketing plan can lead to fortunes.

How Not to Let my Home Business Beat Me Up

Blog: How Not to Let my Home Business Beat Me Up?

Yesterday I spent two hours on two different calls listening to expert marketing advice from top marketers.
There is always hope that something might rub off…better sales copy, better target marketing…join a program.
So what did I learn? No business can survive without an active marketing plan to draw in customers. But marketing is a multi-layered, complex business that even the gurus have spent years in mastering.

I have a network marketing home business with the advantage of having an inbuilt marketing plan and team support. But am I able to execute the recommended plan at the same level as these experts?
I listened to this one Lead System marketing company for networkers explain its enrollment process…TEN steps with attending videos to explain each step to open up and track multiple streams of income. So let’s say you manage to struggle through this one-time process, get your domain name and set up your marketing site(s). That’s actually the easy part…Now comes the real marketing efforts which are to advertise your advertising website! How long would it take you to learn how to do these tasks: Set up a MySpace account with categories (plus other social sites web 2 marketing), build a list, create ezine solo-ads, learn Forum Marketing, write content for article and blog marketing, and learn pay per click plus several more. Each one is an extensive learning curve to do properly and requires perpetual updates to keep relevant. This is the basic principle of attraction marketing where people will find you impressive enough to want an affiliation with.
Give me a break! This system will work for a small handful of entrepreneurs. I wonder how many of those ladies with beginning questions will actually succeed in meeting these professional standards.
I’m a networker and my marketing plan must duplicate through multiple levels of average home business entrepreneurs. You can’t all be expected to be “attractively magnetizing experts.” But you can be expected to handle 3 main components time-effectively: First, pass on an educational ABC primer to explain the business model, generic, hype free, with professional slides to explain the basic concepts. Those who raise their hand for more information will receive the second step …a phone number and a simple Getting Start Right Action Plan with necessary links. Third, everyone can read-and-share a marketing overview with steps to action.

The next time I think about taking 2 hours listening to marketing gurus, I’d rather share a simple marketing plan with people looking for a real non-magnetic home business.

The Many Hats of a Small Home Business Owner

Note: this is another refocused "insight" from the book E-Myths..

Every small home business owner wears several hats: you wear the hats of Entrepreneur, Manager and Technician.

At the beginning, the need to wear at least 3 hats becomes very apparent. Of course, I wanted to be the Entrepreneur, the visionary, working with a strong team to bring health and prosperity to the average family. I needed to be the Technician, the technical expert, who organized the correct emails, mailings, webinars, conference calls, company updates, training sessions, and so on. Then, of course, I was also the Manager who wore the pragmatic hat in terms of talking with people, prospects, new customers, sales and marketing questions, goal setting, solving problems and so forth. In order for any company to be successful, you’ll need to develop these 3 skills or hire somebody to play each of these roles.

However, as time and experience evolved, and the Information Economy and technology continued to expand, then more questions had to be addressed in long term management systems. I’m happy to note these questions have now been answered with the help of information tools and a simple 1- 2 - 3 step marketing system.

• How can I get my business to work, but without me?
• What’s the best way to delegate my responsibilities?
• What procedures should I implement to make the business run and grow itself?
• How can I spend my time doing the work I love to do rather than the work I have to do?

My advice for any person looking for a home business is to start with the basics: Become a student first. Learn the basic facts about the industry you’re interested in. Now you can set some entrepreneurial goals and long term vision. Plug into Information Technology to help with the technical details. For management goals, let information tools by top experts tell the story for you.
So what else is there for you to do?
How about answering the last question; mainly, spend more time doing the work you love.

Of course, we also wear a multitude of other "hats" as mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, sisters, brothers, relatives, neighbours, co-workers,employees, sports fans, hobbyists and so many more...all the more reason to use professional information tools.

Standing by to help with questions or comments,

PART B

Current economic times are turbulent, home businesses are booming, information is overwhelming..where do you begin to make an intelligent, comprehensive search?

In all sincerity, let's say you decide to look at one of the fastest growing trends; namely, a network marketing home business. You’re bright eyed and freshfaced and have a strong desire to do well. You want catch this train to a five or six digit income and not be left standing on the sidelines.
But how many times have I seen this happen with new people?
All of a sudden you are flooded with information overload…company, product, sales training, marketing strategies, motivation, self-development!
Plus…as a newbie you need to share this full load with others and get them motivated and excited! Yikes…stop the train! I’m just at the primary level at this time and how can I be expected to perform like a networking graduate? In time, with practice, I will master the important fundamentals. But don’t swamp me with high expectations when I’m just learning my first steps.
Don't expect me to win the marathon without practice. Just give me the basic 1- 2- 3 steps that I can do and others can do as well.

Here’s an example. Every business needs a KEY MARKETING PLAN. Don’t even contemplate starting any home business until you have examined closely the features of how you will market the product(s)

Here's your choice. What kind of marketing plan would you like to plug into?
ONE...a 10 page outline with steps to follow for the next ten days. As a follow-up, your new customer will also have to follow this plan…I've been there…done that..and it doesn't work for many reasons…No wonder this industry based on duplication has so much attrition and low rates of success…
TIME TO CHANGE!
TWO...OR would you like to get a 1- 2- 3 steps 30- minute plan to read and share…
Everybody can read and share the critical points of information: the need to changes, smart choices and steps to action.
Learn the basics…3 steps...30 minutes.

Pass it on to others.
Continue to repeat 3 steps... 30 minutes
Simple to do... simple to duplicate.

The KEY that opens up network marketing fortunes is in the duplication of simple basic business (marketing) systems
Your choice: a 10 day business follow up or a 1-2-3 step 30-minute plan
What duplicates: a 10 day business plan or a 1-2-3 step 30- minute read and share
